Egbe Elvis Teku aka Mayor was an ambazonia terrorist commander in a terrorists group in Malende, after “General” Ekema was kumkumised, he took over as commander of the terrorist gang. He has killed dozens of innocent civilians including uniformed military personnel, nd buried them behind a CDC camp at Camdev 1 in Malende village.
He was CAPTURED in Limbe (Mile 4) on 05 Oct 2021 and handed to the police at Mile 4, later remanded in Buea. During the Military tribunal in Buea, the arresting officers and eye witnesses were never called to testify, and the terrorism and murder charges were never taken into consideration.
As a result, he was found guilty of lesser crimes and sentenced to a measely 5 years in prison. We are calling on the State of Cameroon to appeal this sentencing and call forth witnesses from Malende, and victim testimoney should be brought forth to make sure this miscariage of justice is addressed. Such a hardenned criminal should never be allowed to roam our streets after just 5 years in prison.
Those who reported his atrocities and pointed him out to be arrested, should be called to testify, because if this criminal is released in 5 years, he may target those informants who reported him to be arrested, so everything should be done to keep him in prison for as long as possible. The court has given the state just ONE week to file a petition, so please, do it, because this is a matter of life and death.
