On Tuesday 22 Apr 2025, three Village traditional councilors were kidnapped in New Town Barombi Kotto by amba terrorists, and demanded 3 million frs ransom. The victims are known as Pa Ekima Patrick, Danatus and one other known as Boby.
The victims were Released 23 April 2025 at around 9pm after some undisclosed amount was paid. The three Village Councilors were Kidnapped by an amba terrorist known as RassMan and they were taken to a place called Number4Water.
