PRESS RELEASE – The Senior Divisional Officer for Bui Division with grief informs the public that on Tuesday 21st November 2023, Mr. YUFENYUY AUSTIN SEWOYEBA, Vice Principal serving at Government Bilingual High School (GBHS) Kumbo was kidnapped by a group of armed terrorists at his Residence in Melim- Kumbo Sub Division, and taken to an unknown destination. After undergoing serious torture, he was brutally murdered and the corpse abandoned this morning 23rd November 2023 along the road stretch of Nkar, Jakiri Sub Division.
The Senior Divisional Officer for Bui extends his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and the Education community as a whole.
Following this sad incident, the Senior Divisional Officer for Bul condemns in strong terms this cruel, inhuman and barbaric act perpetrated on law-abiding citizens. He further encourages the Education family and the population at large not to panic but to continue their activities in tranquillity while remaining vigilant.
Lastly, the Senior Divisional Officer for Bui hereby reassures the population and public opinion that investigations have been opened by the Defence and Security Forces and the culprits of this heinous act shall be tracked down and punished accordingly. /-
