30th September 2020 marked the end of Mayor’s football cup in Wabane Subdivision.
The Mayor’s cup finals took place in Mmouck-leteh at the GTC Ntemnzem grounds with thousands of spectators. It was a tough competition between Mve FC and Marita FC where Marita FC won by 3-2.
The first 45 minutes of play saw Marita FC leading with 2 goals and during the second half, Mve FC penetrates the net of Marita with 2 goals while Marita reacted by adding another 1, mating it 3-2 at the final wisle.
The Wabane Mayor in the presence of the population and the authorities reiterated that schools should resume in this community come October 5th while promising to hand over books and other learning equipment to students.
It should be noted that sport units the society, brings development and progress but there have been no sporttive activity in this community since 2016.
Meanwhile there are some evil propagandists on Social media, trying to manipulate the international community that there is a “war” in this part of the country. Here is an example that normalcy is returning slowly. The population just want to live in peace, but they are being terrorised by armed gangs called Ambaboys, sponsored by individuals residing in the USA.
This is evidence for ALL to see.. Life is returning to normal, slowly and surely, and despite the threats from the Armed amba terrorists Like Oliver Lekeaka, the population turned up in their thousands for the Mayor’s cup, despte the challenges, the heavy rainfal and the insecurity from amba terrorists.
