The 3rd edition of the #Manyu Unity Cup finals took place over the weekend at the Mamfe Municipal Stadium, under the patronage of His Excellency Victor Mengot. The highly anticipated tournament that brought together 7,000 spectators, from all corners of #Manyu division.

The tournament, which was co-launched by the SDO Manyu, the president of the high Court and the Court of first instance mamfe and Mayor of Mamfe, aimed to preach peace and effective back-to-school in Manyu. The event was graced by dignitaries, including traditional leaders, Delegates and local authorities, who emphasized the importance of unity and education in the division.

In a thrilling finale, between Manyu home boy FC and Bachutem FC saw Bachutem emerged victorious, after defeating Manyu home boy FC in a penalty shootout by 5:4 The winning team was awarded a cash prize of 50,0000 Frs and a trophy while the runner-up team received a consolation prize.

The Manyu Unity Cup has become a beacon of hope and reconciliation in the Division, promoting peaceful coexistence among communities. The tournament also encouraged young people to prioritize education and strive for excellence.

The Manyu Unity Cup has set a precedent for community-driven initiatives promoting peace and effective back to school for 2024/2025 academic year.
