The hunter has become the hunted in #Lassin Noni market which is the third most celebrated market in #Bui Division after #Kumbo main market and #Jakiri.
Lassin being a road junction linking #Noni #Kumbo, #Nkambe, #Ndu, #Misaje, #Bum and hosts all these Sub-Divisions on its weekly market day. Because of its strategic location, hosting businesspeople from the above-mentioned Sub-Divisions and beyond, amba terrorists made Lassin village their bread basket.
The amba terrorists often came to Lassin village to kidnap business people and Fulani cattle owners. During the month of March 2024, the amba terrorists kidnapped and collected huge ransoms amounting to over 46 millions francs CFA from business men and Fulani people. This atrocity provoked the local population who decided to form solid robust vigilante groups in September 2024 and since then, with the collaboration of the population, the vigilante groups have served FREE Kumkum to at least seventeen (17) amba terrorists as of today 11 Dec 2024.
In response, the amba terrorist group from Nkum and Ndu Sub-Division decided to stop the Lassin market from holding, forcing the population at gun point to stop attending the market since October 2024. The funy thing is that the businesspeople who sponsor the amba terrorists, supported the amba decision to close the Lassin market, because they thought it would be beneficial to them. It backfired!
Today the Nso business people are the ones begging Lassin people to negotiate with amba terrorists so that they can resume business in Lassin because they have suffered economic sabotage and their businesses are failing since the Lassin Market was forced to close.
Amba terrorists from Beshi #Nkum Sub-Division by name Aliyou is calling Lassin business people and soliciting with them to pay three millions francs CFA for him to uplift the ban but the business people openly told him that they are satisfied with their present situation and they and the population are happily living with their well armed vigilante group and the recently created MILITARY DETACHMENT of twenty well arm Military personnel.
Yesterday was Lassin market and people went on doing their normal business except those from Nso and part of Ndu Sub Division, who are blocked from attending by their own terrorist children. Buyers came from #Bamenda, Oku, #Nkambe, #Misaje, Bum etc and farmers were happily selling their farm products and buying Christmas items for their children while amba terrorists are crying and begging for food money through phone calls and nobody is listening to them.
Moral Lesson: When setting a trap for someone be careful not to fall a victim. Amba terrorists and Nso business people set a trap for Lassin Noni people not knowing that they will be the ones to fall into the trap. The attempted ban on Lassin market has ended affecting the amba Terrorists and Nso business people, while Lassin continues to open it’s market with security provided by #Cameroon armed forces and Vigilante groups that provide good intelligence, and the amba terrorists cannot try to interrupt market activities.
