PROFILE REPORT – Ambazonia Terrorist “Commander Desi”, Real Name Desmond of Ber, in Bui division. Sometimes known as the Malian. This report was made when he was still alive, and the mission was successful on 18 Sep 2024 when “Commander Desi” was surgically kumkumised by the BIR.
The mission that led to the kumkumisation of this terrorist was coordinated between the villagers, the SDO of Bui and the BIR. The villagers were afraid that because the terrorists had planned for an obligatory 2 km march on the 1st October for everyone in Tan and neighbouring villages. They wanted to spread the videos on Facebook as propaganda. All over NW and SW, we are waiting to see ANYONE who risks their lives to do such propaganda videos, because the military have been alerted and action will be taken accordingly.
Desmond (Desi), the amba commander of the camp at Ber acts as a conduit and link to amba terrorism from Wasi through #Ber to #Jakiri and Wainamah. He was in control of the villages that are in-between this triangle. Thus, the villages of Shiy, Tan, Noi, Mantung, Tseimbang, were his territory for extortion and kidnapping for ransoms. Desi has committed or participated in numerous known and unknown atrocities in and around these villages. The military may or may not be aware of all his terrorist activities and for security reasons, have chosen to stay quiet.
Desmond recently closed down primary schools in Noi, Shiy and Visombo, declaring an end to the school year. He did not stop there, he kidnapped all the teachers to his terror camp at Ber where they spent two nights of psychological and physical torture. Desmond had the headmasters whom he accused of being agents of Cameroon well beaten and tortured. He accused them of conducting an “illegal” march pass on the 20th of May. The teachers were deeply traumatized when they were finally released from captivity.
The main Ber camp is located at a little enclave in Ber called Shighang at Romankai quarter. If the military does not find Desmond and his gang there they should go to their new discreet location at another small enclave called Mbohncha precisely in the compound of Pa Julius Tardzenyuy.
Desmond’s parents are still alive. His father Mbinkar, is a local farmer, palm wine tapper and petty trader. His mother is called Margaret Manla but everyone calls her Mami Goiri after her first child. The other children are Desi, Tardzenyuy, Sangnyuy and Nyuybin. Nyuybin lives in Bafia and sometimes in Tonga. The rest are still with their parents doing odd jobs around Noi and Jakiri.
Desmond was a criminal, bad to the core, devilishly and cunning. He personally, or through accomplices, bought and transported supplies like rice, vegetables, flour, meat etc to the camp at Ber and when necessary to other terror camps.
These terrorists have put in place a system where they use certain homes in the locality as pick up and drop off locations. When these locations are discovered, Kumkum will be served.
Desmond had a recognisable blue and red motor bike that he used to ride freely and openly in these villages kidnapping or extracting ransoms from families whose relatives were kidnapped. Desmond was the terrorist who hid behind a house in Jakiri and opened fire on three military men killing one. That night and for many nights, he and his group ate and drank in celebration. The next day after the attack, he received some chicken change from the diaspora, including congratulatory messages from amba Facebook warriors.
Desmond and his group also participated in the abduction and murder of Mr Francis, the younger brother of Mr Christopher Mbuye, present MP for Jakiri.
Desmond’s Ber camp is the stopover for terrorists on their way to carry out terrorist activities or training. He receives and hides ammunition, weapons, IEDs and prisoners. He is known to have hosted on various occasions, the late No Pity, Shinarambo (DDR) and the Late Shaomao. It is also believed that the Fon of Bambalang was briefly held in captivity in this camp before being taken to Kuintar.
Desi is an illiterate boy whose terrorism has no bounds. There are seasons that he goes on “loan” to other camps in #Ngoketunjia, Vekovi, Ntotti and #Oku. He was a high profiled target in this division, and more deadly than so-called General Capo.
