MKPD> I have just had an interesting conversation with a medical professional in Bamenda. I have protected his/her identity for obvious reasons.. He is a Medical Doctor, so I will refer to him as MD in this story.. The conversation went like this..
MD>: Hello Amba vs LRC
MD>:During these days of lockdown, the medical personnel of Bamenda town usually use the Ambulance of the regional hospital to go to the hospital and also to carry some essentials.
MD>:Today, (Tuesday 05/02/2019), as the Ambulance was going about picking them from their homes to take to the hospital, Our colleagues nurses and other medical staff of the Bamenda Regional Hospital were attacked at Mile 6 Nkwen by the Amba boys and their phones, perishable food stuffs and other items were all STOLEN by Amba boys.
MD>:This is really a tragedy.
MD>:That is the reason why the military always controls the ambulances because many times Amba guys can attack and hijack the ambulances for their own use.
MKPD>: Please send me a picture to go with this story.. Even if it’s just a picture of the Ambulance, or hospital. Let me publish it.
MD>: The guys threatened to burn down the Ambulance but thank God they didn’t execute their action.
MD>: Unfortunately those who were attacked had all their phones, money and other items STOLEN by the Amba Bandits. I am afraid I can’t provide any pictures at the moment.
